Terms and Conditions of hooves, claws and paws pet au pair hereafter know as ‘HCP’
· HCP reserve the right to refuse to accept your pet if we feel they are showing signs of disease, injury, illness or pregnancy unless previously discussed. All animals must, to the best of your knowledge, be in good health and all existing medical conditions disclosed to us for the benefit of your pet. Please provide any relevant details when filling out the enquiry/booking form. We are happy to administer medication to your pet as required, please supply adequate medication and clear instructions.
· Your dog if in your care until brought into the house, and when leaving with you. If your dog runs off in this time or attacks/kills any of the hens/rabbits a fee will need to be made.
· All animals being boarded at HCP must be up to date with their vaccinations. Vaccinations must be fully completed up to a minimum of 2 weeks prior to boarding.
· HCP insurance covers injury or illness that occurs directly at the premises. It does not cover pre existing conditions. HCP will ask you to pay any veterinary costs incurred if it is determined that the illness was a long-standing condition or previously known but not declared.
· HCP takes every precaution to ensure the health, safety and happiness of its guests. HCP will take immediate action if a guest appears unwell either by consulting Moray Coast Veterinary Practice or by phoning your own vet for advice. If your pet does become ill whilst at HCP , we will inform you or your emergency contact immediately. If we are unable to contact you and your pet needs veterinary care, we will transport the animal to our local vets. There will be no charge made for this service but any treatment required will be charged to you, the owner. Your pet will be treated under your name and address. By signing these terms and conditions, you agree to any veterinarian costs endured by your pet.
· Sadly, although we take every precaution to fully care for and protect your pet during its stay, small animals can pass away with very little warning and very quickly after first showing signs of an illness. If in the rare event this does happen, we will contact you immediately to discuss your wishes should your pet pass away whilst in our care. HCP accepts no liability in the unlikely event that this may happen.
· All bookings must be confirmed by email or phone and will be subject to a 50% deposit. We cannot hold your booking unless both are complete . HCP understand that plans change and value your custom. HCP ask that you notify them as soon as possible for the mutual benefit of all concerned.
· Cancellation Policy.
We would draw to your attention that, once we have accepted your booking, a contract exists between us. Except as detailed below, any deposit paid is non-refundable. In case you might need to cancel, we strongly advise you to ensure that your visit is covered by adequate insurance.
If you have to cancel
In every case of a cancellation made at least 6 weeks prior to your dogs' stay will gladly refund your deposit, less an administration fee of £10.00.
If there is less than 6 weeks notice until the booking but you have given us at least 1 weeks notice of cancellation, your deposit will not be refunded, but there will be no further charge. If you fail to arrive, without giving a minimum of 1 weeks notice, 100% of the room rate for the booked period (less the value of your deposit) will be due.
· All payments must be made in full before the animal leaves the premises. The daily rate includes the day your pet is brought to us and the day he/she leaves. HCP accept cash, cheque (if paid well in advance), paypal and bank transfer. HCP reserve the right to hold the animal until full payment is received and the extra days will be chargeable at the normal rate.
· If your pet/s is already boarding with Hooves, claws and paws and you wish to collect your pet/s earlier than the date originally provided, you are still liable for the full boarding costs.
· If you do not collect your pet/s on the agreed day then you will be charged for any extra days at the current daily rate.
· If your pet is not collected on the due date or boarding fees not paid and we are unable to contact you or your emergency contact and you do not contact HCP , we reserve the right after 10 days to take whatever action is deemed necessary to re-home the animal and recover any costs.
· HCP cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or property, howsoever caused, whilst on the premises.
· HCP encourages you to discuss and notify them of any problems or undesirable behaviours your pet may have due to previous experiences. Any damage or extra cost incurred due to HCP not being aware of these will be charged as necessary.
· HCP guests are welcome to bring their own bedding, toys and other comfort items, however, these are all left at your own risk.
· All dogs must be fitted with a collar, tag and lead in line with the legal requirements for dog ownership and these must be securely fastened.
· Should you be unable to collect your pet in person HCP must be notified in advance and the representative must bring proof of identity, and if appropriate, payment before the pet will be released.
